I recently was teaching on when you die the physical death, what happens, do we go directly to Paradise or we asleep untill the Lord comes to get his people? Well I came across 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, yes, well pleased to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord". So many take this scripture and think we go directly to heaven. From what I get from it, is this. We must walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh, we must walk by faith and not by sight. When we focus on the things of God, such as, Paul put it like this>> Getting in the Word. - Obedience. - Prayer. - Worship. - Being still and listening. So we must not fill the things ( body= flesh) it will make the presence of the Lord leave. However when we focus on the things above and put it in to practice, we are in the presense of theLord.
